Cora Cunningham and Cami Stillwell Join Move Up Global Board of Directors
Two emerging global health leaders join our movement to strengthen the bridge between health, education, and community transformation.
At Move Up Global, we believe that lasting change begins with people who lead with compassion, act with courage, and work hand in hand with communities to build a healthier, more equitable world.
Today, we are thrilled to welcome two such leaders, Cora Cunningham and Cami Stillwell, to our Board of Directors. Their journeys, values, and tireless commitment to advancing health and education mirror the very heart of Move Up Global’s mission.
Cora Cunningham brings to Move Up Global a rare blend of scientific rigor and heartfelt compassion. Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Global Health and Population at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Cora has devoted her academic and professional path to advancing global health equity through improved water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) access in crisis-affected and low-resource settings.
Her connection to Move Up Global began at Tufts University, where she earned degrees in Biopsychology and Community Health. Through the Move Up Global Fellowship, supported by Davis Projects for Peace, Cora worked directly with schools and communities in Rwanda, helping to strengthen the link between education, health, and local empowerment.
Beyond Rwanda, she contributes to humanitarian WASH research in more than 30 countries as a research assistant with the Lantagne Group at Tufts University. Her work evaluates humanitarian WASH programs to reduce the burden of infectious disease, promoting healthier futures for those affected by conflict and crisis. At Harvard, Cora also co-founded the Harvard Chan Student WASH Organization, leading student-driven advocacy and education for equitable WASH access. She brings to Move Up Global a thoughtful, evidence-based perspective and an unwavering belief that communities hold the key to their own transformation.
Cami Stillwell joins Move Up Global’s Board with extensive experience at the intersection of health, education, and youth empowerment. Since graduating from Boston College, where she studied Applied Psychology, Human Development, and Global Public Health, Cami has spent the past three years working to improve health outcomes among women and youth in communities across Africa.
During her studies, Cami worked with the Research Program on Children and Adversity (RPCA), where she supported youth development initiatives in Rwanda and Sierra Leone. In 2024, she worked with a maternal health organization in South Africa, where she supported expectant mothers, including teenagers, through counseling and antenatal classes.
Cami’s journey with Move Up Global began with her proposal for a photo gallery to raise funds for our water access initiative. After successfully co-hosting “Wells for Transformation” and helping to raise over $15,000, Cami became one of the founding members of our Innovation Council. Since then, she has helped shape initiatives focused on sexual and reproductive health education, spearheaded fundraising efforts, and improved our organizational communications. Her visionary attitude and ability to connect and coordinate across borders and organizations have quickly made her an essential voice in MUG’s growing network of young professionals.
Today, as the Senior Public Health Fellow at Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village (ASYV) in Rwanda’s Eastern Province, Cami teaches health classes to youth, focusing specifically on healthy behaviors, sexual health, drug and alcohol abuse, mental health, and gender equity. When she is not teaching, she’s leading disease prevention campaigns, supporting the campus clinic, and mentoring students to help them improve their English and thrive both academically and emotionally.
Cora and Cami represent a new generation of leaders who believe that transformation begins with trust, collaboration, and community voice. Their journeys remind us that courage is contagious and that hope, when rooted in action, can reshape what’s possible.
As they join our Board of Directors, we celebrate not only their achievements but also their shared belief in Move Up Global’s vision: a world where every child can learn, grow, and thrive with dignity.
We are honored to walk alongside them as we continue building bridges between schools, health systems, and communities and as we strengthen the movement for equity that began with one conviction: together, we can move up and ignite global change.
Welcome, Cora and Cami! Your light makes our mission stronger.
