Dr. Nina Emrakabe

Nina Bekele is a physician and public health expert who leads the health program at Ireme Education for Social Impact (IESI). Nina oversees the design and implementation of community health projects that address malnutrition, neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), and hygiene in low-resource settings. She works closely with local authorities, partners, and community members to ensure the quality, effectiveness, and sustainability of health interventions. Nina’s goal is to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable populations by providing them with access to essential health services, education, and resources. Nina is passionate about advancing health equity, social justice, and human rights through her work. She is also an avid learner, traveler, and mentor.
