Dr. Celia Reddick Joins Move Up Global Board of Directors

Move Up Global Board members are pleased to welcome Dr. Celia Reddick on the Board of Directors. Celia is a Lecturer on Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Her research and teaching examine education in contexts of forced migration and conflict.

This focus builds on over 15 years working with teachers and students across contexts globally: previously, Celia worked with newcomer students as a teacher in New York City, and with teachers-in-training at a national teacher training college in Fort Portal, Uganda. She also lived and worked in Rwinkwavu, Rwanda, serving as the Curriculum and Training Specialist for Partners In Health.

During this time, she founded the Nkondo Enrichment Program, an afterschool program to support language development, pedagogy, and learning among local primary school teachers and students. Celia was also a Research Fellow with Save the Children in Rwanda, where she conducted a study of community reading practices across four districts, contributing to policy and program development.

“Celia is a champion educator. Her wealth of knowledge and experience constitutes an invaluable addition to our mission to promote equitable access to better health and education for greater social impact.” Said Anatole Manzi, Founder of Move Up Global

Celia holds a Ph.D. in Education from Harvard University and an Ed.M, in International Education Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Join us to welcome Celia to Move Up Global.
